Droidkino is an open source community project started during a
hackathon organized by the Android Aalto (http://androidaalto.org). At
first it was planned as a simple android application to check movie
information and movie schedules for Finnkino movie theaters. Finnkino
Oy is the biggest movie theatre chain in the Baltic Rim.
Although this goal was reached, we intend to expand it further. The
long term vision we have is to make it into a social platform for
planning trips to the cinema. It would facilitate the whole
organisation process: gathering friends, choosing a movie, place and
time – maybe even buying the tickets. The application also features
recent Android developments such as fragments.
The application is constantly developed by members of the community.
They put great efforts in keeping it as stable and efficient as
possible but please bear in mind that droidKino is still in early
stages of development. Please use github's issue tracker tool to
report issues, feedback, ideas, etc.

droidKino uses the following permissions:
- INTERNET: needed to fetch movie schedules and movie information from the net.
The app has had several contributors during the time and we want to
thank them for their support, interest, ideas and feedback during the
time.
